Drink Tea For Health
Recent research by several universites and independent study groups are finding that drinking tea can have several benefical effects on your health. For example a recent study at Boston University found that Black Tea is thought to repair blood vessel damage in people who have coronary-artery disease. Another study found that drinking tea may help control LDL cholesterol (the bad kind) while not effecting the HDL cholesterol levels.
Researchers have also found that drinking tea may even be helpful in the prevention of skin cancer. Studies also show that lotions that contain green tea compounds may reduce or even reverse sun damage to the skin.
Another study shows drinking tea may increase the bodies ability to "fight" off a host of cancers. In particular stomach and colorectal. Catechins containted in the tea is thought to promote something called "cell suicide" which is when a cell can't repair itself it commits suicide instead of becoming cancerous.
Tea has also been shown to supress bacterial growth in the mouth and it helps prevent cavities.
Of course caffeine is containted in tea as well as coffee and other products but tea can be decaffeinated with little lose of the beneficial effects of the tea.
